The Swindon Food Collective received some extra manpower from Excalibur this week. On Wednesday, a crew of ten volunteer colleagues arrived at the Collective warehouse to sort, split and stack a vast amount of donated food, toiletries and cleaning items for the charity.
A spokesperson from the charity said: “A huge thank you to this team from Excalibur Communications Ltd, you guys definitely made a difference in our warehouse today.”
Excalibur took part in a Corporate Team Day for the charity which enables the in-house Collective team to organise donations into appropriate categories and food sell-by dates, for effective distribution at its centres in the Swindon area. The Swindon Food Collective is an independent charity. It aims to help people in Swindon and the surrounding area who are suffering from financial hardship and find it difficult to provide food for themselves, their family or dependants.
