Yesterday, Nokia held their Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi and released a couple of interesting devices that could offer a lot to business users. So far we have seen two handsets and a tablet in the reveal. The Lumia 1520 and Lumia 1320 and a Windows RT tablet, the Lumia 2520.

Lumia 1520 and Lumia 1320

Nokia are understandably staying faithful to Windows, so all their devices use the OS. Thanks to GDR3 the new update, the Windows Phone OS can now support larger screens. That is borne out in the new Nokia Lumia 1520 and 1320, both of which have 6 inch displays. While the phablet form factor is growing in popularity, it does have distinct advantages for business users. It allows for a lot more screen real estate within which to conduct business and mean a lot less squinting at a screen while reading from it. It also allows for larger onscreen keyboards, which is great if you’re going to be typing a lot.

The Nokia Lumia 1520 is a quad core HD phone that packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. With the 6 inch screen, this could be your next business phone. It’s powerful enough to cope with anything and large enough to offer productivity throughout the day. The Nokia Lumia 1320 has the same size screen but lower capability. Pegged at 720p, the screen is still a contender mid-range that offers a lot to productivity users. It is powered by a 1.7GHz dual core processor, which is supported by 1Gb of RAM. Both phones could offer a new direction for businesses looking to offer something different than the usual iPhone or Samsung Galaxy S4.

Lumia 2520

The Lumia 2520 Windows RT tablet is a 10.1 inch HD tablet that includes a 4G LTE chip. It is driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset which includes a 2.2GHz processor. It is also the first Windows RT slate to be made somewhere other than Microsoft. The screen looks bright, crisp and easy to use. The Gorilla Glass 2 should keep it scratch free and retaining those good looks throughout its life, great for mobile productivity. The screen is also said to be easily viewable inside or out, making it ideal for businesses on the move.
