Are you a successful new business sales person?

Excalibur are seeking a successful Senior BDM who has extensive experience within the IT and/or Telecoms industry. This person will bring expertise and knowledge to the team as well as have an appetite to further build upon this as they learn our product portfolio. A customer-centric attitude is essential, as well as a hunger to drive business growth.

As a Senior BDM, you will be responsible for generating new Excalibur customers from the initial lead through the full sales cycle to close. This includes booking and then attending your appointments, building proposals, negotiating, providing product demonstrations and closing the opportunities. Targeting a range of businesses across all industries.

You will be generating your own leads and appointments through telemarketing, email, social and networking channels. It is essential that you are happy to be proactive in your prospecting as there will be some leads generated from marketing, but the majority will be self-generated.

As a technology business, you will be expected to have an appetite to learn our product portfolio and keep up to date with the latest updates and changes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Consistently deliver against business targets including GP, Connection Revenue, new customers and meetings attended.

• Perform proactive prospecting to self-generate leads through telemarketing, email, social and networking channels.

• Manage the full sales process from lead to close – including pipeline management and accurate forecasting.

• Develop a solid product knowledge and capability to utilise presales from Excalibur / suppliers to consultatively recommend the most suitable products for the customers requirements.

• Securing and managing medium to large opportunities, whilst maintaining a run rate of smaller new customers.

• Willingness to knowledge share and support others within the sales team.

• Work closely with our operations and delivery teams when new solutions are being implemented to ensure a good customer experience.

• Effective handover of new customers to Account management

• Full use of our CRM for pipeline management, data quality and take up of marketing and order capture and processing.

Skill Required:

• Must have proven success in a previous new business sales role within an IT and/or Telecoms role

• Ability to work on own initiative

• Passion for self-development and desire to learn our portfolio of products

• Excellent communication skills across all business levels

• IT literate

• Driving License – ability to work from Swindon office a few days per week and visit customers
