Good Energy
What do they do?
Good Energy are providers of renewable energy to homes and businesses across the UK and are based in Chippenham. Founded a decade ago, the company is fast-growing and employs more than 300 staff.
As a large amount of the work they do is based in rolling fields in the middle of the countryside, mobile reception is of paramount importance for both safety and productivity. Due to having a large social media presence and generating brand awareness at events, the in-house marketing team needed reliable connectivity to enable them to promote Good Energy on the road.
How did Excalibur help?
Excalibur’s team of communication specialists were quickly able to formulate a picture of where efficiencies and improvements could be made.
For the more remote solar and wind farm locations, Excalibur rolled out Vodafone Sure Signal boxes. All staff needed to do was connect their mobile number to the box and the box allows the mobile to be used to make calls over the Wi-Fi connection.
The marketing team were provided with a Vodafone mobile Wi-Fi 4G device which connects over a mobile network. They are now able to engage with potential customers, be it in a field, at a trade show or live from a solar farm!
Excalibur then introduced very capable smartphones to ensure productivity wherever staff might be. To all of the above, Excalibur applied their unique brand of support and account management delivered by industry qualified staff from their Swindon HQ.
How do Good Energy operate now?
Good Energy now feel more connected and their staff are able to productively work from any location at any time. The Sure Signal boxes have changed a remote location to a connected one which benefits everyone.
Marketing are connected wherever they take the Good Energy roadshow and are no longer reliant on a venue Wi-Fi connection. New smartphones are a success company-wide allowing staff to work more efficiently and always be in touch.
‘They have a desire to do business as a partnership and as a result, have developed an in-depth understanding of our business as a whole.’
