Excalibur has been named Tech Team of the Year at the Techies 2020. The Techies is a Business Exchange award scheme that celebrates innovation and entrepreneurship among Swindon and Wiltshire’s thriving IT community. The event took place via a virtual awards night on 5 November – hosted by Anita Jaynes, director and editor of The Business Exchange.
The expert panel of judges for the Tech Team of the Year Award was led by Kate Westbrook, partner and head of commercial and category sponsors, Thrings.
Excalibur particularly impressed the judges with its focus on customer service, client retention and investment in staff wellbeing. Its commitment to customers was clearly seen as the UK faced lockdown measures. Following the Government’s request for non-essential businesses to relocate operations into the home, Excalibur successfully dealt with an unprecedented number of calls – nearly three times the usual number – and managed a 97% case resolution rate.
Kate Westbrook said: “Excalibur’s tech team not only showed that they deliver exceptional service to their customers and consistently go the extra mile, but also how hard they work for each other. The team spirit is incredibly strong in Excalibur and this had a huge part to play in their success.
“On behalf of Thrings, I would like to congratulate the three finalists, all of whom presented compelling stories and provided numerous examples of how their expertise, quality, innovation and passion is driving Swindon and Wiltshire’s technology sector forward.”
Excalibur CEO, Peter Boucher, speaking about the Award said; “The Excalibur tech team not only know their technology, but are a collaborative and supportive group of colleagues who work hard to do the very best for our customers. They truly deserve to be recognised and win Tech Team of the Year 2020.”
