Excalibur is thrilled to have been named as Employer of the Year at the South West Business Awards 2024. Hosted by The Great British Expos on the 1st of February, these awards recognise organisations that have made an outstanding contribution in the South West region.
The esteemed panel of South West judges, commenting on Excalibur’s proactive approach to supporting its employees, noted: “A formalised and thought-out process to care for their employees. The Excalibur team are the company’s most valued asset, and they are continually looking at ways to become an even more excellent employer. Well Done!”.
Excalibur People Director, Carly Deacon, speaking about the Employer of the Year Award, said: “Each and every team member works really hard to create the exceptional culture that makes Excalibur a great place to work. It’s fantastic that the team have been recognised for what they have helped to create, and it’s an award that we are all truly proud of”.
The Award recognises Excalibur’s focus on being “Famous for Partner Engagement”. Excalibur’s comprehensive ‘People Plan’ and open corporate culture are key to this. The Plan proactively looks at every individual’s success and development, alongside company processes and a body of team-focussed initiatives. The company culture empowers employees to take ownership of issues and put forward their own ideas and solutions to resolve them.
This year is the second time Excalibur has received the South West Employer of the Year award, having first secured the title in 2020. This year, the company was also shortlisted for SME of the Year.
Excalibur’s commitment as an employer is also reflected in its Top 50 Best Small Companies to Work For 2023 status, awarded by employee engagement specialists, Best Companies.
