This week sees news of three new products that look good options for mobile business users. We have the Nokia Lumia 930, the Sony Xperia Z3 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2. Each is a little different, but each offers real productivity options for business users. The new Nokia Lumia 930 is due to hit the shelves this week and is expected to be a big seller. The phone has a 5 inch screen powered by a Qualcomm quad-core 2.2Ghz Snapdragon 800 processor and 2Gb of RAM. The phone will also have 32Gb of storage, a 20 megapixel camera and run Windows Phone 8.1.
We like the Lumia phones. Not only do they offer exceptional value for money, they are also easy to use, play nicely with other Windows applications and can offer full productivity on the move. Sony Xperia Z3 The Sony Xperia Z3 is expected later this year and it’s hot on the heels of the Sony Xperia Z2. We only have leaks to go on right now but what we have seen so far look good. It looks slightly larger than the Z2, only more ergonomically shaped. It is also said to have a quad-core 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and an Adreno 330 graphics chip.
It will likely run Android 4.4.4, have a 20.7 megapixel Exmore RS camera and a 5.7 inch screen with QHD resolution. While these are just rumours right now, we would be very excited to see these specs on a production version. Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 is a new tablet release from the Korean manufacturer that does more of the same only better. The 12.2 inch screen looks superb and one of the largest quality screens available at 2560 x 1600 and 4 million pixels.
The device is powered by an eight core processor with 3Gb of RAM in support. It comes with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth built in, GPS, infrared, a MicroSD slot for up to 64Gb of storage, front and rear facing cameras and lots more besides. Fans of the Galaxy line of tablets are sure to love this one.
All three of these devices offer power, portability and control all in one. While we have yet to see a finalised version of the Sony Xperia Z3, that doesn’t stop us looking forward to it even though the Z2 is still new to the market. The Nokia Lumia 930 and Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 both have what many SMBs need wrapped up in a tidy little package. It’s an exciting time to be shopping for new technology right now!
