Guide Dogs for the Blind South West Region, The RTS Support Group (Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome) and ARC UK (Antenatal Results and Choices) are just three charities that have been selected by individual employees at Excalibur and Tech4Education to benefit from our monthly Salary Sacrifice Scheme. Each charity has received funds of £600 from the company.
One charity is chosen each month by an employee who participates in the scheme. Their name is pulled out of a hat the company monthly meeting. This has been a challenge over Zoom, but a system has successfully been devised to select an employee at random.
The RTS Support Group is a charity that supports people affected by Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome and raises awareness of the condition. RTS is an extremely rare autosomal dominant genetic disease.
ARC is the only national charity that helps parents and healthcare professionals through antenatal screening and its consequences. It offers non-directive information and support to parents before, during and after antenatal screening.
Guide Dogs have let us know, that whilst the money cannot be ring fenced for a specific project, it will cover costs from: buying a new collar for a working dog – £3 or an iconic white harness – £26, to paying towards a Training School Kit – £116 or Starter Kit for a new guide dog owner – £125.
