On 29th July Windows 10 will be formally released in the UK. This new operating system is set to be an excellent tool for businesses with improved functionality and updates that work automatically.
Windows 10 upgrade, important information
You may have recently received a message regarding pre-configuring your computer to download the new operating system as soon as it becomes available. Obviously this sounds great, but we do advise you to wait to upgrade until the first patches have been released.
What issues could I encounter?
Software failure
All Operating Systems (Windows 7, 8 & 10) have software that runs on them that does everything for us – this could include core software that you use every day. Not all of these will have been upgraded to work with Windows 10 on the release date.
Glitches & bugs
With the initial release of an operating system there are almost always bugs and glitches in its functionality. Post launch, patches usually follow very shortly after so we do advise you to wait for these.
When is best to upgrade?
Patches normally follow around a month after launch so you won’t have long to wait.
